Convenient, good surroundings
The hotel was decent. I guess that sounds bad but it isn’t. Everything was fine but about average as hotels go. No problems, nothing outstanding either. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Very convenient to old town and the other attractions in Albuquerque. Out the back door is the St. Clair winery. Also a Starbucks. Don’t miss the winery. They have good wine, meals, and music. You can also take a "flight" which is a tasting of six different wines.

Good city location
If you want to be within walking distance of Old Town Albuquerque, and still have easy access to I-40 to get around town and see sights out of town, this location is ideal. Plus you can’t go wrong with a Best Western hotel.
If you want authentic new mexican food with personal service for a good price, go to Garcia’s Kitchen, on Central Ave. between Old Town and downtown. They have the best green and red chili I have tasted so far.

Albuquerque Old Town Best Wester
Hotel is very neat, clean and well kept. Room is well maintained, very clean and quiet. Sunrise view (from 3rd floor) is excellent. On-site Restaurant was very good and prices quite reasonable. Room service was prompt and food was fresh and warm. Location 2 blocks from Old Town is excellent!. Starbucks, gas station and St. Clari winery (excellent wine/food) within one block. Close to botanical gardens and natural history museum. Very easy to get to from airport (10 minutes). I will stay there on next trip to Albuquerque.
Mid-October was EXCELLENT time to visit (right after annual hot-air balloon festival). No too hot, beautiful sunny, warm (short-sleeve shirt) days. No crowded at all. City is very well laid out and easy to navigate. Rent a car and enjoy both the city and the surrounding environs.
