One of the best Motel 6 Ive been in
The downtown Atlanta Motel 6 is an excellent value. There is free parking on location, and after we checked out we were able to leave our car parked there until mid-afternoon, since everything we wanted to do that day was within walking distance. The room was clean, with a nice queen-size bed, and we were on the side of the building away from traffic. The bathroom had a tub instead of shower, not to be taken for granted at Motel 6. The only problem we had was that the free Internet did not work. When I called about that, I was told that some systems were down, and not expected to be repaired until 9 a.m. the next day. Location is excellent, with easy walking distance for many restaurants, the CNN building, Olympic Park, and the Coca Cola headquarters, among others.

Excellent location
The hotel had just been remodeled so the rooms had new stuff. The only things I didnt like was being able to hear whats going on down the hall. The walls are VERY thin. Your neighbors dont have to scream to know what is going on--and the pool was closed in JULY. Room service was very courteous & they dont clean their rooms at 9 a.m. so you can sleep late! I loved that. I also liked being walking distance to Hard Rock Cafe and the Underground. We drove to the World Congress Center, but it wasnt too far away. Overall the stay was nice. Another plus, I rushed out & left my cell. They called me & since I was halfway home, they mailed it back to me.

Bad hotel in bad part of town. Wiil not reccomend.
This hotel was listed as the Red Roof in although when we showed up they had put a Motel 6 sign over the Red Roof sign and you could still see the old sign. The hotel floor looked as though it had not been vacumed in days, there was no complimentary shampoo etc, no coffee m aker, the staff kept me awake at night with their voices and the dangerous. When leaving to go to business meetings on foot I was asked at least 4 times by bums outside the hotel for money. We were very disapointed.
Stay away from this hotel and part of town. Go stay at the Quality Hotel. Much nicer and equivalent prices.
