Top Quality in Hong Kong
We were celebrating my wifes xx birthday and decided to stay at the Intercontinental as we wanted something a bit special. We werent disappointed. Even before we arrived their communication was prompt and courteous - I was able to book a Dim Sum making class (which was superb) with the head chef ahead of arriving. They even delivered a cake on my wifes birthday! The service at the hotel was top notch and the restaurants (though pricey) were excellent and world class. Location was also great for us as it was right on the bay in Kowloon - a perfect place to view the famed Victoria Harbor and evening light show. In fact, since wed booked one of the bay view rooms we got a better view of the light show than on the promenade. It is worth noting that the garden view rooms face the other way with a less than spectacular view. My only complaint was that the exterior of the hotel was showing some signs of age and our room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. All in all, I would highly recommend the hotel and especially the bay view rooms.
Get a cab or a limo from the airport if you can afford it - the hotel buses stop at all of the hotels, they take forever, and youll be miserable by the time you arrive.
