Relaxation and Beauty
This was a great hotel and spa. I really enjoyed myself. I went on this trip alone to just get away and relax. The grounds are beautiful and so are the mountain views. The hot sea shell massage was great. The staff members are helpful and polite. I would definatly go back for another trip. The pictures look exacly like the property. The only problems I had were that on the bathroom sink were these little bugs that looked like baby ants. When I called about them the staff was fast and helpful in fixing the problem. I also did not like that the property was filled with mostly business people when I went. So most days it was empty and at night during happy hour the guests would all return to the hotel. I did not like seeing so many business suits on my time off. It reminded me a lot of my work day. One other thing. Be prepared for extra fees. There is a daily resort fee that I wasnt aware of. And if you charge something to the room make sure you sign the receipt because I believe they added extra tips to some of my purchases. There is also a VERY high tax rate added on for all of your spa services.

Highly recommended
Very welcome departure from the usual large upscale hotel experiences. Wonderful setting of smaller buildings in lush gardens gives a much more private and relaxed feel. Multiple seating areas with ponds, pools and and fireplaces invite for a day or evening outdoors. Highly attentive staff and a great restaurant compliment the very positive experience. Would always chose the hotel when in the Phoenix area.
Go downtown Scottsdale for shopping, in particular art. On the outdoors side, take a trip to Sedona if you have the time. the scenery is breathtaking. An alternative to the desert is Lake Pleasence just a 30 minute drive from the hotel. Boat rentals are available at reasonable rates.

True Oasis
This is simply a beautiful place. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. The rooms are attractive. Not slick or modern, but a total emphasis on comfort. Fitness center is just OK. But all in all, a terrific place.
