Great deal near the Riverwalk
Our stay was extremely comfortable and convenient. The hotel was within a short walk to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. There is a trolley stop near the hotel which will take you anywhere around town for a low fee . You must take the taxi boat ride around the riverwalk. It will orient you to the area. You can catch the taxi at various stops along the Riverwalk. The hotel has a nice breakfast for under five dollars. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. This is a great bargain for a two or three day stay. Give it a try!
There is a nice Macy’s store near the hotel if you are into shopping. Free parking behind the hotel which saves you more money!

San Antonio area a gem
Friends have encouraged us to vist the Riverwalk for years. It is a wonderful place with a wide choice of food, shopping, and entertainment. More than that the entire city has much more to offer with the many historical and cultural venues. The B/W Sunset Suites is only a five to ten minute walk from the Riverwalk and over four days we used the car only once to vist two fine museums and explore the Mission Trail. Otherwise the area is very walkable and the helpful staff offered directions, suggestions, and even a loner umbrella from the manager for the one rainy day . The facility was very clean and updated. An excellent breakfast was provided each morning. It is not directly on the walk, not very large, but we would stay again. Enjoy.
Maps of the area are readily available. People are quite friendly; we felt at ease everywhere we walked. Language is bilingual in many areas but if you have some Spanish tucked into your distant past, brush up a few phrases and jump in. The only downer was the frequency of being approached for spare change. This is a personal choice and in our case I carry some loose pocket change to avoid exposing a wallet or purse. Some entertainment spots have promotions available at hotels and restaurants; we picked up two free admissions to Howl At The Moon on the Riverwalk and had a grand several hours enjoying the music, the crowd, and of course a few drinks. A short walk in the pleasant evening air and it was back to the Sunset Suites. Enjoy.

Great location!
I recommend this hotel, room is confortable, clean, walking distance to the Riverwalk, extremely nice and friendly staff. Just beware, donīt park in the street nearby, if the parking lot is full, there is another one nearby.
