i was impressed

it was a great resort. Unfortunatley the packet we asked for while booking with expedia gave us a bit of problems when checking in. But once it was resolved and disscused it was a great trip. The hotel itself has everything you can imagine. Very clean and the people are extremley nice and helpful.

A Beautiful Hotel.

This mega hotel is ideal for a family vacation with children of all ages. However, it is not the best choice for some nice, quiet R&R. The microphones and megaphones for games were fun for the kiddos but not for us. Dont get me wrong. My husband and I are grandparents! That is why we escaped from Mexico City thinking school was back in session only to find out we had miscalculated the dates. The pool is supposedly the longest in Mexico and it is beautiful. There is even a very large pond for kayaking with a little island sporting iguanas. I did not see a kiddie pool but there was a wonderful floating pool on inner tubes with various attractions. I was surprised that with all the babies that there were not more shaded areas. There were hardly any umbrellas around the pool areas. Palapas on the beach were quickly occupied at early hours. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. We stocked our refrigerator from the nearby grocery stores. Do not attempt to take coolers to the beach or pool areas as it is prohibited. We used room service once and it was quite good. I really recommend all the hotels in this vicinity of Acapulco as my husband and I have stayed at all 5. Each one has positives and negatives. It all depends on how you want to spend your vacation. It must be noted that EXPEDIA gave us the best deal. It was even better than the Wyndham website Summer Special.

A great hotel to stay in Acapulco

Overall the hotel is really good. The rooms are very comfortable, the beach is nice and the swimming pools are great. The hotel has 2 restaurants: one usually has breakfast buffets and from thursday-sunday dinner buffets as well. The other one is a little fancier with a la carte menu. The food is great in both of them. The rooms have a kitchenette with everything you need and there is hotel transportation to a mini-mart where you can buy all you need if you want to prepare some meals in the room. The Aqua-park is really cool and the kids enjoyed it a lot but it gets quite crowded. Of the things I disliked: there is no internet access from the rooms (unless you do dial-up), the Mondo bar is quite loud at nights and the check-in time to be so late (5pm) and the chek-out so early (10am).

Make sure your room is as far as possible from the "Mondo" bar and disco. We stayed on the first floor right above where "Mondo" is. They play loud music every night from 10:00pm to 2:00am and Thursdays and Saturdays they play live music and have karaoke contests which becomes really loud and impossible to sleep.
