Everything about this hotel is topnotch! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Great accommodations, hospitality and location

I am a very frequent traveler and the French Quarter is truly a 4+ Star Hotel. The staff, rooms, public areas and complimentary breakfast, snacks, happy hour and evening cookies and milk made this a very pleasant stay. The French Quarter is certainly a Hotel I would choose again as well as highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston.

easy check in , nice ,very clean rooms and outstanding extras make this a wonderful place for a visit. From a complementary contential breakfast to afternoon wine and cheese and evening milk and cookies this hotel provides walking access to downtown historic attractions shopping and restaurants with excellant service and clean well appointed rooms.

Was beyond our expectations

What a great hotel. This hotel went beyond our expectations. The room and bathroom was large and spacious, very clean. The service was fantastic as well as the location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel, first class service- would love to return!

Felt like a guest in someone’s gracious home, service was fantastic. Was quiet, well-located and the staff were excellent. Breakfast, afternoon wine & cheese, milk and cookies at night-- I can’t wait to go back!!

Fabulous Vacation

The French Quarter Inn was everything I had hoped and more. From the minute we walked in the door until we got in our car to drive home, it was fabulous. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The location was awesome. Good southern hospitality! We will be back some day.

The perfect getaway

Couldn’t ask for a better three day getaway from the kids. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff treated us wonderfully. The rooms were outstanding, the service was prompt and friendly and the location is absolutely perfect. We cannot wait to go back.

This was the perfect place to stay if staying only a short while. In the heart of downtown Charlest

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do. All you had to do was step out of the hotel and you were at The Market. I will definitely go back and recommend to all my friends.

The Market was at your door step. Only a block away was all the shopping. A block the other way is the waterfront.

Hotel is in the middle of the action, clean, Very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. The French Quarter Inn is a very quite place to stay and rest. The Food is very good as well.

What a great time

If you are looking for a great time, this is for you. From the cheese & wine in the evening to the milk & cookies at night and the nightly ice and turn down service this inn gives you the feeling of a b & b. The staff is wonderful. We flew into Charleston and did not miss our vehicle as you can walk everywhere. If you will be in Charleston don’t miss the French Quater Inn.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Everything is within walking distance except for the plantations. The Slave Market is directly behind the inn, multiple restaurants and shops on every street, (don’t miss the She Crab Soup). We suggest taking the water taxi (next to the Aquarium)to the USS Yorktown. Don’t forget a carriage ride.

Will Stay there again

This hotel exceeded all expectations. Complimentary self-serve breakfast helped us to hit the ground running in the morning. Afternoon complimentary wine and cheese was a welcome respite after a long day of activities. Location was perfect for all of the Spoleto venues. Hotel staff was uniformly helpful and friendly.

Use the shared van service from the airport. It costs much less than a private cab and isn’t inconvenient even if others are dropped off first.

Great Location! Great Front Desk

Wonderful "extras" (champagne upon arrival/wine & cheese mid afternoon - nice touches). Front Desk very helpful (as well as the doormen)... Ate at Tristan - croweded - but atmosphere, price, didn’t put it at the top of our list. Had a much meal (although it was lunch) at SNOB (Slightly North of Broadway) Take the trolley tour for a great overview of Charleston (and take advantage of the free shuttle to the Visitor’s Center to do this - talk to front desk). Have Fun! Charleston IS Charming!

Excellent!

We celebrated a special anniversary. Champagne awaited us after we checked in! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was central and a short walk to shops and great restaurants. Hands down, one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Charleston.

Great place to relax and enjoy a break!

Within walking distance of Market, King Street shops, restaurants and beautiful antebellum homes. Afternoon wine and cheese was great. All hotel personnel were friendly and helpful.

Avoid smallest room

The hotel was up to our expectations except for the room size. It seems that room 108 is the smallest room. No room to sit except on the bed. Windows can’t be opened except in suites with balcony. We checked in early (around 2 pm instead of 3) and the reception staff made it sound like a big favor to have this room ready for us.

Outstanding Hotel Experience!

Have traveled to Charleston many times over the last 30 years. By far, the best hotel experience, ever. Perfect size, perfect location, perfect staff. Choice of 8 different pillows! Cookies and milk at night! We will return, no doubt.

Good location and condition; not matched by service and overpriced

Location is excellent and rooms were fine. For the price however, we were disappointed in the service level (valet parking attendant vented at us because we parked the car ourselves and made up a story that they were responsible for damage when it was clear on the stub the hotel was not responsible for any). The morning continental breakfast was okay for a day but no variety from one day to the next other than yogourt selections. Had it been warmer, eating out on the patio would have been fine, but it wasn’t - and you were obliged to eat in the lounge area assuming you could find a seat and balance your food in your lap. Had the price not been so high, we wouldn’t have had issues with the hotel but for this price, service is a full step or two down from where it should be.
