Nice hotel...bad neighborhood
I stayed at this hotel for a week, and was pleased. The bed, while hard, was comfortable, and clean. Beware the neighborhood, however. Street vendors will constantly try to sell you watches or suits from the nathan street exit, and the views from the rooms look like a slum. My advice, pay the extra money and stay on Hong Kong island.

Must pay more!
The hotel had 2 entirely different floor acceptabilities. One set was all we were allowed under "what we had paid for." The other higher floors were acceptable and clean. The first 6 floors (which were part of our package) smelled heavily of mildew, carpet was gross, room was shabby, and view was empty, shattered windows in partially occupied apartments which reminded me of the film, "Bladerunner". The cost of the room was not equal to the room assigned on the 5th floor by the hotel staff. By paying more each day, we were placed in a very nice room toward the top floors. I felt this was a stardard practice by this hotel. Show the tourist totally unacceptable room in order for the tourist to pay extra. Otherwise, Hong Kong was great fun and it was nice to relax by the pool on the roof between the fantastic Hong Kong History Museum and all the other adventures!
