Lahaina Best!!!
Great place to stay! They were remodeling the hotel but we never heard anything. Our room faced the ocean and I believe is the most affordable ocean side room available in Hawaii. Had a fantastic time! Lahaina is a great place to stay in Maui.

"Achieved our Goal"
We had an oceanfront room on the 3rd floor, which I’d highly recommend. It included a kitchen, which came in handy at times for snacks and beverages. We watched the whales from our lanai. It was just steps to the quiet beach, where chairs were provided to enjoy day or night. Just a 2 block walk will put you in Lahaina for the action. It was extremely quiet and relaxing, yet close to everything. We also noticed there happened to be no children while we were there, which added to ou R & R plans. We would stay there again if the price was right.

Lahaina’s Best Kept Secret
We were extremely pleased with Lahaina Shores Beach Resort for our recent vacation on Maui. It was booked as "Renovation Special" so we weren’t sure what that might really mean, but the Package Price for hotel, airfare and rental car seemed very good so we took a chance. We arrived late afternoon on a Saturday so there was no work being done over the weekend. On Monday a very courteous and efficient crew began work on our floor. It was somewhat noisy but did not interfere with anything we were doing. We left for the day soon after and when we returned they were finished for the day. The rest of the week we saw very little of the crew and no noise thereafter. The room was a Studio Ocean view and we were delighted with it. We were able to eat in whenever we wanted since the kitchen was well equipped. Our view was spectacular everyday, and each evening we sat on our balcony and enjoyed the music that came from a luau held on the adjoining property. The housekeeping crew was also very efficient and friendly and kept our room clean and neat. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which were also kept very neat. The Expedia tour personnel were available in the lobby to help us plan various side trips that helped to make our trip very enjoyable. The location was perfect: we were within blocks of the downtown Lahaina area, but removed just enough not to be desturbed by the sounds of downtown. Overall, it was a perfect place for us to stay and very family friendly too!
