Great hotel in a great location!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Sofitel Lafaytte Square for a long weekend. It was wonderful. The room was neat and clean, concierge was very helpful and the location was great. We had such a great experience and would definitely stay here again. There is a bar and a bistro in the hotel but we didn’t try either of them. The room was well stocked and we didn’t need to request anything extra. One note: they warn you at check-in that the mini-bar is on a scale so even if you move things around you could mess up the scale so don’t touch the minibar unless you are planning to be charged. One block from the White House and only a few blocks from the National Mall makes this a great hotel for just walking around and exploring. There is also a Metro station just around the corner and many restaurants closeby.

Fabulous French Hotel
Highly recommend the Sofitel. Great location, feel like you’re in France. Great accesssories in the room, nice linens, great soaps and front desk was fabulous. Worth the extra dollars!

A very comfortable hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Washington Sofitel, service was pleasant and friendly; rooms were comfortable, and hotel was conveniently located near public transport and many tourist attractions.
