Worth the journey!
This was my first time in Sun Valley and my experiences with teh Sun Valley Logdge makes me want to come back! The Lodge is absolutely gorgeous--so well maintained and scenic. The staff is outstanding, friendly and professional. The food in the Lodge and in the nearby Sun Valley Village was reasonably priced and of very high quality.

Annual Sun Valley Weekend
We take our family to the Sun Valley Lodge, every year the weekend before Thanksgiving. We unlike many of their guest make the lodge our destination. We never leave the complex. We eat all our meals at Gretchens, the Ram and then Sunday Brunch is not to be missed in the Lodge dining room. The service staff is second to none! They treat us fellow Idahoans as royalty. They also use much of the same staff in the different resturants so our Waiter and Manager at the Ram the night before were our same people at Breakfast in the dining room. The food is incredible and the service impeccable. It makes it feel more like family and friends than Guest and Servants. We feel at home there and have a great time. The kids love to go bowling in the bowling alley, or soak and play in the huge hot tub. The bell staff is wonderful, they even took our family pictures for us in the Sun Room. This year we brought my wives parents with us and they really enjoyed themselves as well. We are on our 13th year and are looking forward to 50 more. The tradition grows as our family get’s larger. I reccomend you go and try their hospitality. The lodge is old. It’s well maintained and full of charm and history. There is much to do from riding bikes, hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, sporting clays, the list is endless. The lodge makes it all effortless and helps you do or go where ever you please to enjoy yourself while you are there. I give them two thumbs up!

Sun Valley Lodge is awesome.
The hotel was beautiful. Loved the little shopping village. Food at the deli and coffee house was excellent. Enjoyed a movie at the Opera House.
