Paying for "Hype"
The House claims superior service, but this is just not so. Wait staff varied. Some were excellent, others poor. On 2 separate days, 2 separate waiters, I ordered ice tea on the beach and it never arrived. Free afternoon"tea" is served daily at 4pm , but one waiter actually charged us for iced tea, since it is a "specialty drink like latte" ! ( I learned to order ice on the side. However, one day they didn’t bring it.) Another day I ordered iced tea at the bar and was charged for a full " pot of tea" , rather than a glass of iced tea (twice the price). We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite, but the storage was poor. No drawers, 2 very small shelves and multiple hanging rods , most with no hangers at all ! We actually had to use our suitcases for many small items. Maid service was sketchy. Room was cleaned, but something always missing, ie no wash cloths- had to request soap. Beach is fabulous, but most West Coast spots have great beaches. Don’t pay extra for here!!!

No children - yeah!
Quiet, no children allowed, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Rooms are private, you don’t see or hear your neighbors talking across the balcony. The beach area is not tremendously large, but the hotel is a small hotel, but it would be nice to have a little more space between the chaise lounge chairs on the beach. They were very close to each other.

Very Good service
Really enjoyed our stay at the House. Extremely good and friendly service and very hospitable staff. Rooms can be a little cleaner but we enjoyed our stay
