Great Hotel in Lenox area...
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is most accomodating and friendly. A plus was the superb dining room, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. We actually ate there two nights. I would consider it one of the best restaurants in the Lenox area. The hotel room was large and tastefully furnished. I didnt realize that the pillows and comforters were down(something I usually check in an inn since I am allergic). But our room housekeeper happily changed everything over and left personal notes to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. In fact we had her make the king bed with one side done up in down pillows and bed pads and the other side non-allergic. The chocolate chip cookies and bucket of ice every evening were a nice treat. I would recommend that people ask for a garden view which is extremely beautiful. It is best to get directions to the hotel directly from them. Otherwise the rotary can be confusing.

Attractive Alternative in the Berkshires
Delightful small hotel near Williams College and the Clark Museum. Prices dropped significantly in the days before we arrived, we booked throughExpedia at the last moment and were quite satisfied. Upgraded to a large room with raised king-sized four poster bed. Needed, and were given, stairs to get into bed.
Traveler's tip on dining
Breakfast is not included, but shouldnt be missed. Huge portions, reasonably priced

Wow
Our room was large with fireplace and very comfortable beds. The restaurant was closed so we ate in the bar. The food was satisfactory. Would definitely stay again
