Not near Airport
We had to stay over night in Curacao, and choose Floris Suite Hotel because it was near airport but not at the airport. The taxi ride was $25. oneway. It was about a 15 minute ride, and felt it was a over priced ride. What really bothered me was the lack of mattress pad on the bed. Only a sheet covered the mattress and I felt it was not a sanitary thing to do. The room was cold feeling. All white walls and it might have been designed by some one special but I felt it needed warmth. There was a leak over the stove and am not sure how water could get there, but it did. I would not be able to use the stove, but staying over night I did not need to prepare a meal there. Had to walk to a decent restaurant and the beach was not on the grounds, but also down the street.

Gone Downhill
Compared to my stay here in 2003 when the hotel was fairly new, my 2009 stay was world’s apart. Management not onsite at all, housekeeping would not clean room for 3 days, feet turned black from walking barefoot on dirty floor, holes, stains, and squished mosquitoes in drapes. Standup shower in bathroom covered in mold. Not recommended, and I won’t be back.
