Beautiful Hotel! Great location!
Very quaint hotel across the piazza from the Pantheon. The room was very comfortable. The whirlpool bath was especially appreciated after long walks around the city. The bed was very soft yet firm. We had free internet on the television -- quite a surprise! The breakfast was the best we have had in Italy and we have been visiting every year for some time. The location can’t be beat. A great hotel!!

nice location next to the Pantheon
This is a wonderful ancient hotel but with nice renovations, a nice breakfast and a warm helpful staff. It has one of the best locations in central rome and is within walking distance of most every tourist site as well as churches and museums, and is only a few blocks from Plaza Navonna with the great Bernini statues and fountains. The view of the Pantheon out of our window was breathtaking. Several restaurants were nearby and were OK, but not spectacular. The wine bars (entocas) were quite good.
Our only regret is that we booked a vatican tour (VASTours) through the hotel concierge, which was a rip-off. It would have been much better to wait until afternoon, spend 20 Euros instead of 150 Euros, walk through with fewer crowds and get to actually get to see the Vatican museum than to do a run through to the sistine chapel via the Vatican hallway, and then walk out through St. Peters Basilica. However, this can’t be blamed on the hotel or it’s staff, which were both impeccable. It looked like all of the organized tours of the vatican used the same approach which is a shame and a waste of money.
