Hit all the right spots
Like most of Banff’s Hotels the Banff Aspen Lodge is not air-conditioned which is a potential problem when visiting in the summer. However, this hotel has windows and balcony doors that open all the way and a fan in the room. We were quite comfortable. The front desk was especially helpful with transportation information and the location of various attractions. The only problem was that the one ice machine available was constantly out of ice.

I absolutely recommend this hotel
The hotel is great - frindly service, clean, free parking, nice view, delicious breakfast. The only problem I had is that Internet usage is limited to 256MB per day, which I find ridiculous for its price ($10 per day).

An affordable hotel with a great staff!
One of the best things about this hotel was the incredibly kind staff. They suggested restaurants for me, going above and beyond by phoning to check hours and menu items. The hotel has a number of shelves with books for trading -- take a book, leave a book. My room had an incredible balcony with gorgeous views of the mountains.
