Staying in Tropic - Amer. Best Value Inn
The hotel is in Tropic, about 8 miles or 15 min. from the entrance to Bryce. It is an average hotel in a small town with with few dining options. The price is well above average, however, as are most lodgings in the vicinity of Bryce. Still, it was clean and fairly comfortable.

We were told by the hotel that Sept. is the busiest time of the year for them.

America’s Best Value Isn’t
If this hotel was really a good value, they would offer a free continental breakfast. Also, one of the washing machines in the laundry broke down. The room needed to be redone, it is definetly showing wear and tear. Tropic Utah (near Bryce NP)could definetly use some more competition with respect to hotels.

very comfortable--and friendly
The room was not ready when we arrived but instead of making us wait for it to be cleaned they quickly relocated us to another room. I was very pleased.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
very convenient to Bryce Canyon. We were easily able to drive there for both sunset and sunrise. The restaurant is very near by--friendly and reasonable
