yawn..pass on this one
Very much the "no-tell motel", room had funny dingy smell, staff was barely tolerant of guests, "queen" size bed is an extreme overstatement. If your looking for 4 walls and a well used tiny bed this is your place! close to universal city walk was its only redeeming qualities

Posted: 11-Nov-09We have never claimed to be the 5 star hotel, we are a budget motel in walking distance to Universal Studios and near many attractions, as for the size of the rooms, some 1 bed rooms are small and some larger and unfortunately it is what it is! although we try hard to keep things on good working order and the establishment clean. We cater to the budget traveler who can receive all basic amenities and more without a big price tag. Our mattresses are replaced as the need arises as we have replaced 80 percent of mattresses to date. This hotel is for tourist whom just want a place to rest and sleep and not a live-in facility.

matress were old could fill the springs, the room smell like cigarret smoke no carpet under need beds frames.

Posted: 11-Nov-09The Matress have been replaced in late 2008 and the Cigarette smell is because smokers like to smoke with doors and windows closed, however we air out the room during the day and use plenty of airfreshner and after every guest checks out we wash all linens and bed spreads, as for the carpeting all rooms have been replaced and during a short period during renovations we had to do with the torn carpets under the beds until our new carpeting arrived. Sorry!

Can’t wait to go back to L.A.
The room was nice and clean; the service was friendly; the hotel is close (5 min walk) to the Universal Studios and the metro stop "Universal City"; the area where the hotel is located is not that exiting but you can find some nice restaurants
