Good Value
St Kitts is an expensive place to stay middle to high end. Timothy Beach Hotel is inexpensive, run down, cheerful front of desk, occasionally surly, sulky breakfast service (with one great exception!). Cathy’s Bar and The Shigeddy Shack on the beach outside the hotel are fine value and good fun. Cathy’s does better value servings.
Hire a car at good value C&Cs in Basseterre. Worth a trip to South East Peninsula for some great beaches. The island is actively developing - watch it grow!

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Good location. We highly recommend it.
I was torn between staying at the Marriott Resort and Timothy Beach Hotel. However, I decided to stay at Timothy Beach becacue it is on the Caribbean side of the island, where the water is warmer and calmer. I made the rigth decision, because we could snorkel right off the beach where we could see colorful fish, squid, turtle etc. Our room was spacious , the king size bed was very comfortable and the staff were very freindly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location was the best on the island, just a few steps from the "Stirp" where all the night life takes place: good local restaurants, great local bands, dancing, etc. The Strip is the place to be in the evenings specially on Thursdays and Fridays. And if you want to scuba dive, I highly recommend Dive St. Kitts. They are the best and will take you to the best diving. We can’t wait to go back!
