Jan 2010 Not impressed

Not overly impressed considering the 4 star rating. Our room was poorly located in a dark corner (despite the inn being almost empty). Dinner was hit or miss. Breakfast was good. Restaurant atmosphere was great. There was some unexplained construction noise in the room below us that went on for two hours one afternoon (woke us from a nap). The staff was polite and friendly, although not aa professional as we’d expected. Won’t go back.

Well worth the money

We absolutely loved our stay at Crowne Pointe Historic Inn & Spa. The hotel has a great character, architecture and decor. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts were great, as were the wine & cheese hour. Dinner was superb. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Note: we went during the winter, so it was a little slower pace. Hopefully the same care and attention is given during the on-season.
