St. Lucia’s hidden paradise

The hotes consists of 33 cottages in the mountains. All very secluded. Lots of privacy. Spectacular view of the Caribbean. Spa treatments are great. A beachside cafe and a second restaurant that served creole food were excellent. 170 steps to get to beach. Going up is a chore. Beautiful pool. Excursions available everyday. Land & Sea tour is good. Great diving facility. Fabulous snorkeling right from the beach. Bring your own mask, etc.orherwise it’s $13.00 per person per day for rentals. Diving lessons available. Water is gorgeous. This beach is where cruise ships send their small excursions to snorkel. This is the place to be if you want to snorkel. Marigot Bay for dinner via water taxi is a must. Wine tasting is fun. A fabulous place for romance!!

Remote but Worth the Drive!

The first exposure to the resort is after a torturous one mile rough road entrance, but as the hill is crested, the red roofs set against backdrop of the blue Caribbean Sea you realize the bumps, holes, mud and ruts are worth it! The staff was excellent, helping out with everything you could need. The rooms were air conditioned and spacious, the outdoor shower invigorating and the lack of television refreshing. The beach was amazing, and the few vendors would show their wares, then leave you alone. You could easily spend your whole time on the Island at the resort, but there is much to do, and the staff will be more than happy to help you arrange your vacation priorities. Overall a great experience at Ti Kaye, I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Even though the island is small, it takes a good while to get anywhere from the resort (an hour to Castries in the North, an hour to Soufriere in the South) this mainly due to the lack of straight roads. The people on the island are friendly and more than willing to help out, especially if they think you will pay them - or buy them a Piton beer.

Unbelievable

It was more than we expected and I would love to go back. The only thing is that the evening meals and drinks are expensive, but the meals are big enough that we split ours.
