Magnolia Mansion
Magnolia Mansion is absolutely beautiful. It is like taking a step back in time. The owner, Holly, was very nice. She made us feel very welcome. I loved the location in the Garden Disctrict only one block from St. Charles and the street car. We parked on the street in front of Magnolia Mansion, and I felt my car was safe. All the rooms are themed and very nice. There is a zero tolerance policy for smoking, incense, and/or candles. If violated, they promise a $3000 fine. I hope to return to Magnolia Mansion in the Spring. It is just so lovely!!

unpleasant
The managers were pretentious. The physical building was quite historic, but we found the staff full of themselves; they implied they had a corner on the market of etiquette. Indeed...they were quite rude. If you do happen to have a guest visit the mansion, for heavens sake dont disturb the management by having them ring the doorbell.

pretentious and unwelcoming
Management was rude and very pretentious. Although they tout their southern hospitality, they should learn to treat their guests as guests rather than poential/probable vandalizers. We didnt use the sitting room because we were made to feel unworthy. Very cute, but unwelcoming and cold.
