Would stay at a Barcelo again
For the price I paid for my trip I can’t complain. The resort is gorgeous! The food and drinks were great!! Guests have access to all the other Barcelo resorts which is FAB! You can pick from 9 restaurants- alot of selection. Nightly shows were great! Customer service is so so. But what can you expect, the workers are in no rush to go anywhere! The bed smelled a little funky (my friends stayed in the room next to ours and their bed smelled bad also) Big thumbs down. The maid forgot to clean our room on one of the days- but still asked for a tip before she cleaned our room the next day. But overall great trip! Who cares about the room anyways- spend 90% of your day on the beach/pool/restaurants/casino!!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t tip the maid generously on the first day- I did and got a different maid afterwards (who didn’t do a great job). So tip daily in small increments.

DISGUSTIN FOOD
the hotel was nice, beach and pool nice. but the food was absolutely disastrous, it was of poor quality and the same thing was served at every meal. there was even a smell coming from the dinning areas. unfortunately based on this I can not recommend this hotel because it is not all inclusive since the food it completely inedible.

Love the resort
Love the resort. Everyone very friendly. Only down fall was the bed. VERY uncomfortable. I have been to this resort 6 times over the last few years, and have enjoyed myself very much
Traveler's tip
Throw a few dollars here and there to the bar tenders and they will go waaaaay out of their way for you.
