Certainly consider staying here...
My wife and I enjoyed a five-day stay at the Hilton Budepest over the New Year holiday. All-in-all, we were quite satisfied with our stay, and would recommend the hotel to friends planning to visit the city. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, and we were fortunate enough to receive a room with a view the river, Parliment, etc, breathtaking indeed. We arrived by train and were able to navigate public transortation to the hotel, so we didn’t have to try our luck with a taxi. The only thing that we were somewhat dissatisfied with was the buffet breakfast. I understand that with buffets, service will often be less as there’s not ticket on which to receive a tip, but in our case the service really didn’t exist at all. Each morning I had to get up and refill our coffee and juice several times, despite plenty of floor staff, and in a couple of times in full view of the resturant’s general manager. (Actually, we were alone in having to "wait" on ourselves.) That being said, we would certainly strongly consider staying here again on a future visit to this wonderful city. One more thing... the internet service is rediculously expensive. Find an internet cafe if needed.

Beware the mini-bar
A very nice hotel in an excellent location. My only complaint -- it appears I paid almost $25.00 for a bottle of water from the mini-bar when I checked out and charged it to my credit card. A bit much...

Conveniently Situated
The hotel is awesome. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is nicely located near the famous Fishermen Bastion,St. Mathias Church, and the Royal Palace. I was surprised about the location - I love the Old Town feeling with cobbled stone streets. Lots of restaurants that serve local food as well as shops with nice souvenirs. If you need to go to Pest side, there is a bus stop near the hotel. Very easy to go around. I highly recommend it.
