perfect location, I’d like to come back
I enjoed our stay in this hotel , but the first night there was a nightmare ( traffic noise from Via Liberta!), then I asked for another room and ,since that moment, it was a wonderful stay. Many thanks to Mr Giuseppe ( the doorman) who was extremely helpul and friendly.

Loved the Excelsior Palace!
This was by far the nicest hotel of our trip to Sicily. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had a tub/shower combination, which is always appreciated! The breakfast buffet was fabulous, with both hot and cold selections. Although the hotel is located a fair distance from the old town and attractions of Palermo, a city bus will get you there quickly and efficiently. We enjoyed our stay at the Excelsior Palace and would highly recommend it.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We were in Palermo in late October, and some of the places we had hoped to visit were closed for renovation (the Regional Art Gallery and Archaeology Museum), as they considered the tourist season to be over. It might be wise to have your hotel call to make sure the places you want to see are open!
