wonderful view and great restaurant. Great service.
We stayed between Christmas and New Year’s for a few days just to get away. The room was on the 16th floor, overlooked American and Horseshoe Falls. Beautiful view. The restaurant had just a great a view. The food and service were better than I expected for a hotel restaurant. Kyle was an excellent waiter. We took a wine tour recommended by the front desk. It was a very fun day and the service by our driver and the wineries was excellent. Can’t say enough good things about our Embassy experience. Only bad thing was the $20 day/parking fee. But they provided shuttle anywhere we really wanted to go, and it was convenient to be taken directly to our car when we checked out.

A nice view -- but a long walk to anywhere
We arrived very early -- 11am -- and yet they let us check in (we had to upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi -- after walking all day, it was VERY worth it! We had a falls view room and the room from the window or the arm chair was great, but sitting on the bed you couldn’t see the falls! I think half the rooms are like this and the other half have the beds facing the falls. I’m sure the desk knows which rooms are which, so it wouldn’t hurt to ask (or request a change, if you’re not checking in 5 hours early, like we did!). My only complaint -- and this is minor, all things considered -- is that you’re right above Table Rock, but to actually GET to Table Rock you have to make this huge circuit -- down to the Skylon Tower and back. Or you can take the short train, which is very conveniently located, but costs $2 each trip. For a family of 4, that would add up quick! We used it the last trip back to the hotel -- tired feet and limited time making that $2 seem a bargain! A word of advice: carry your passports with you. We hadn’t actually planned to go to the American side, but we hadn’t planned not to, either. In the end, we did end up crossing the border, and I was really glad I’d carried them.
