Wonderful but odd
We stayed in a Taos Mountain Double Queen room. We had mixed feelings about the room. The room is very well appointed and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We chose this property because of its location. Close enough to downtown yet very quiet. The hotel features a library with a nice pool table. The pool area is nice but odd. There is a hot tub, elevated a little beside the pools, One pool is very shallow and the other is a ten-foot deep cylinder about 12 feet wide. The bathroom in our room deserves a little mention. There is a lage area with the sink and whirlpool tub. You can open a window wall and open the curtains and kinda bathe in public if you want. There is a small room with the toilet and another is the shower. They share a glass wall which minimizes privacy if both are used at the same time. The towel hook is beside the shower door hinges, which means to use it, you must fully exit the shower, close the door and retrieve your towel. I prefer to dry in the stall. The shower head is very high and points straight down and is not adjustable. It requires agility and contortion to rinse ones underarms. When you drive into the hotel area, there is a podium with (I guess) a parking valet guy. They really want you to use their free valet parking for some reason. Self-parking is twelve bucks a night and very limited. They tell you about the $12 when you leave.
We went in early October and the weather was starting to cool some, Got rained on one morning pretty hard.
