Clean and comfortable basic no-frills lodging
Registration desk staff was friendly. Facility was realitively new and in good condition. Rooms were basic but very clean and quite confortable. The location is convenient to the small downtown area and the harbor. We would stay here again when in Seward.
Traveler's tip on dining
The front desk suggested Rays for dinner. Rays overlooked the harbor and was excellent for fresh Alaskan seafood. We recommend it.

Harborview without a view on harbor
The motel is, even by Alaskan standards, grossly overpriced for what you get, which by the way despite the hotels moniker oesnt include a view on the harbor. In fact, its location is as removed from the harbor as a hotel can be in Seward, and is 1/2 mile away from downtown in one direction and 1/2 mile from the train station in the other. It is, however, a clean and basic motel.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
It struck me strolling through Seward that its downtown hotels can boast about location all they want; however, the prime real estate in that city is the RV and tent grounds, which location is literally on downtown Sewards waterfront. So one would be better off (on a short trip) buying a cheap tent and setting up camp for $10, which would all cost a lot less than a hotel (none of which offers much more). You can build a fire, shower etc.
