Tortoise Service
The bathrooms were a little small, but it is a nice older building, so that is too be expected. The concierge was also very helpful. However, a major problem with the hotel was how SLOW the service was. Everything took at least 20 minutes. Checking in, checking out, checking luggage at the desk. Be prepared to wait 20 minutes to accomplish anything that requires service. We liked it (and our big Beatles fans - the bed-in fame totally sweetened the deal) and we probably go there again because it was a great deal in the center of the city, but the waits were a problem.

Central location in Montreal
We stayed four nights between Christmas and New Years and enjoyed our first visit to Montreal. The room was nice quality. The hotel is located above the underground city and central train station which made it convenient for a winter visit. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping did a poor job cleaning the bathroom but the rest of their efforts were good. The location also allowed us to walk to old town and the main shopping areas. In general all the people we interacted with at the hotel or throughout the city were extremely friendly and helpful.

going back in spring!
hotel staff is very plite and there to attend to your every need and want. Also very helpful and resourceful. My only complaint would be the mattress, it was just too soft for me, would prefer firm one the next time we go. Location is excellent, everything is within the walking distance, even the Old Montreal. We were there for New Years and did not use our car at all during our stay. We are planing on going back in the spring time! Cant wait!
