Lobby Service
I had to cancel the original reservation due to a blizzard that prevented me from entering the Park on Dec. 7. Yosemite Lodge assured me they would cancel the reservation with Expedia. I DID manage to get to Yosemite the next day (Dec. 8), and was charged for the room for one night. However, Yosemite Lodge did not cancel the original $219.30, and I was billed for that amount on my credit card. Expedia was most gracious when I called them, and they promised to credit my card with the full amount, which has been done. Thank you very much.

great place!
my girlfriend and i stayed at the Yosemite Lodge a week ago. the front staff were exceptionally polite, allowed us to check in hours before the actual time, and called the room to make sure everything was cool within half an hour of us arriving. the room was clean and spartan. we had no expectations of 4-star quality, youre in Yosemite, people! if you want to be treated like royalty go to the Awanhee and blow your cash inflating your ego and self-worth. anyway, the location was great, room was fine, and staff excellent!

Our room was much better than I expected. I never expect grandeur lodging when I am in a national park except if you want to pay a $400 a night at the Ahwanee or the hoiety toiety hotel in Death Valley. I was happy to get a TV with a handful of stations. The room itself was large with plenty of storage space and it had refrigerator. No coffee maker because it attracts bears. You get vouchers for free coffee at the food court. It was a very cold walk every morning to get coffee. Also they use low wattage bulbs to save energy, I had to turn every light in the room on and it was still pretty dim. We had a cute balcony with views of the cliffs at Yosemite Falls and that alone was worth every penny we paid for the room. You can beat staying in the valley and if the room was a quarter as nice and the same price I would still recommend staying there.
