Circa 39 is good for the money
Circa 39 as a hotel was great. Clean, good food, friendly service. The problem was that it was about 35 degrees in Miami and the building had no heat in 1/2 of it (it’s split into 2 different buildings). I had to sleep in my winter jacket on night 1 because they were out of heaters, blankets, etc. - that was terrible. The odd thing was they kept saying "they had no heat in the building" which i later came to find out wasn’t accurate after talking with the manager. In Circa’s defense, even the high end hotels along Collins had no heat at all). Anyways, after talkign with the manager she offered me a room with heat in the main building, and the difference was huge. Changed my whole expereience. Becuase of that, and everything else I rated high, I’d definitely recommend this hotel to somebody. Plus, Miami probably won’t get that cold again for another 100 years.

Cool Hotel-- Walk on beach or boardwalk to South Beach.
I’m writing this review while I relax in lobby of Circa39. This is a fine hotel and is worth the price. It’s not fancy, but it has some very nice touches. The breakfast is good, the coffee excellent. If Circa were located about 20 blocks south-- that is closer to the action of South Beach-- it would be a great hotel. It’s much nicer than any of the medium priced hotels in South Beach...but it’s about a mile and a half north of the action and the fun. If you like walking you will be all set. The beach and the boardwalk are right across the street and it’s only about a 20 minute walk to south beach. Bottom line-- good deal, if not perfect location.

Comofortable and good location, i recommend this hotel
