Excellent location
From Narita, take Keisei RR to Ueno Station about $20, then taxi ride (about 1000 yen) to hotel. If you have no luggage, ride Ginza line from Ueno to Tawarramachi (160 Yen), 8 minute walk to Hotel. A leisurely walk, about 20-30 minutes to Nakamise shopping area, for souvenirs of all types. No busy street noise at night. Hotel staff courteous, no problems.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Go to Nakamise shopping area for best deals in souvenirs, inexpensive places to dine. As one critic said, if you buy here last, you will see how much you overspent.

great location
The location of the hotel is wonderful, across the street from one of the biggest attractions: Asakusa Kanon shrine. It looks like a regular business hotel. in this hotel, if you need to adjust the air conditioning, you have to call the reception desk and they do it for you. A bit odd, yet it worked very well, they were very prompt and helpful.

Wonderful hotel
An absolutely fantastic hotel and a fantastic bargain. They were out of single rooms so I got a double, essentially a suite, for the same price! Very nice and clean room with an incredible view, the staff was friendly, sure the decor isnt the most modern but who cares, hotels are for sleeping. I would definitely stay here again.
Traveler's tip
If you arent afraid of heights ask for a room on a high floor, this hotel has some spectacular views. Also, keep in mind the "u" in Asakusa is not pronounced!
