Up, up, and away! High-speed elevators zoom up 1,050 feet (320 meters) to the 86th floor, home of the Observatory. Once there, step out and take in the Big Apple—either from the glass-enclosed pavilion, heated in winter and cooled in summer, or from the surrounding outdoor promenades. Approximately 3.5 million people visit the Observatory each year, largely for the panoramic view, although some come to relive cinematic moments from movies such asAn Affair to Remember andSleepless in Seattle.

Insider's tip: If time is short, zip past everyone else with the Express Pass. This handy upgrade gives you priority access to security, ticket office, and all elevator lines. If you’d like to pay an additional fee to upgrade to an Express Pass, please inquire at the ticket office.
