Details

Inspired by one of the most successful films in history, award-winning director/designer Julie Taymor created a magnificent stage version of The Lion King. It has all the hallmarks of a classic musical: a touching story, a stunning set, and an unforgettable score—including Elton John and Tim Rice's Oscar®-winning song, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."

At the heart of The Lion King is Simba, a likeable young lion who sets forth on an epic journey, with whom you'll travel as he ventures from wide-eyed cub to his predestined role as King of the Pride Lands. Simba's story unfolds in a spectacular setting (the famous Pride Rock actually rises out of the stage), and the animals of Africa are brought to life by a cast of over 50 actors decked out in astounding costumes.
