The show
Billy Elliotis the heart-warming, feel-good celebration of a young boy living out his dream. Set in County Durham in northern England during the mid-1980s, this gripping tale of triumph over adversity brings every detail of Billy's life to vivid life; from the bawdy lingo to the life-shattering miners' strike. The rough, gruff, working-class world starkly contrasts with Billy's peaceful ballet class escape.

Awards and accolades (from the London production)
An unprecedented smash in the West End, where it won nine Best Musical awards, broke UK box office records, and continues to sell out nightly. Billy Elliot was created by the film's director (Stephen Daldry), writer (Lee Hall), and choreographer (Peter Darling), and are joined by music legend Elton John, one of the most celebrated pop songwriters of the last 30 years.

After you book your ticket, follow these 3 easy steps:

3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for ticket:
Tickets are held at the theater box office under your last name as displayed on your voucher. Voucher and photo identification must be presented to the box office prior to entry to the theater. Please arrive 15 to 35 minutes prior to the beginning of the performance; everyone entering the theater must have a ticket.

Terms and conditions

Please note that some shows will not seat late arrivals until a suitable pause in the performance. Late seating is entirely at the theater management's discretion. Some theaters will not admit children younger than 4 years old; please inquire. Under New York City law, all cell phones and pagers must be turned off prior to the start of the show.
