Details

See San Francisco in a genuinely unique way, with the GoCar as companion and guide. Guided by an onboard GPS unit, the GoCar provides not only navigational information but also facts and anecdotes about the city, all related by a friendly automated voice. And, unlike many standard tours, the GoCar isn't locked into a pre-set timetable, so the driver and passenger get to choose the pace of the tour.

The GoCar office is located at 2715 Hyde Street at the western end of Fisherman's Wharf.
Return times and location:
The GoCar office closes at 8 PM in summer and at sunset in winter. The car's computer directs drivers back to the office at the end of the tour.

Note:
NEXT STEP AFTER BOOKING ONLINE: After booking online and printing your voucher(s), you must call GoCar Rentals, Inc. at least 48 hours prior to your desired date of service to confirm receipt of your online reservation and finalize details. Comfortable shoes and an extra layer of warm clothing are recommended. You must have a valid standard driver's license, be age 21 or older, and have a valid credit card to rent a GoCar. Passenger age is at the discretion of parent/guardian. Vehicles are controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes.

Redemption instructions

When you reserve your activities and services you will be asked to print vouchers to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the vouchers and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.Note: In groups of two or more people, you must present a corresponding number of vouchers upon arrival in your destination. One voucher per person. You will also be able to access your vouchers in your online itinerary once your booking is confirmed.

How to redeem your voucher(s):
NEXT STEP AFTER BOOKING ONLINE: After booking online and printing your voucher(s), you must call GoCar Rentals, Inc. at least 48 hours prior to your desired date of service to confirm receipt of your online reservation and finalize details. This final step is required to confirm your space in this activity. The customer service phone number appears on your printed voucher(s). On the day of your tour please arrive at the redemption address at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time. You will be required to present your voucher(s) at this time, along with valid photo identification and a current driver's license.Note: Due to this activity's popularity during the summer, you must call GoCar Rentals, Inc. at least 7 days prior to confirm your reservation date and time.

Terms and conditions

You must have a valid standard driver's license, be age 21 or older, and have a valid credit card for the $400 refundable deposit. Passenger age is at the discretion of parent/guardian. Comfortable shoes and an extra layer of warm clothing are recommended. Helmets are provided, and all riders receive a full orientation. Vehicles are controlled with a motorcycle-style handle, throttle, and hand brakes. GoCars are not allowed on interstates or on the Golden Gate Bridge. GoCar assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road, and other conditions beyond control. GoCar is not responsible for loss or damage to property.
