Details

Depart Tokyo in a deluxe motor coach bound for Mount Fuji. Serving as a centuries-old source of inspiration for Japanese art and culture, the 12,388-foot (3,776-m) mountain is one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. Your first stop is at the Mount Fuji Visitor’s Center. The center not only provides facts and information, but items related to the nature, culture, and artwork of Mount Fuji demonstrate the tremendous historic and religious significance of this mountain to the Japanese.

For visitors traveling to the summit, the hike is divided into 10 stations that serve as resting points and supply stores. You’ll drive to the last stop with a paved road, known as 5th Station, 7,562 feet (2,305 m) above sea level. Enjoy the scenery and a Japanese-style lunch (vegetarian option available) at the Hotel Highland Resort (optional extra; select with or without lunch below).

Feel the crisp mountain air and surrounding verdure refresh you on a picturesque cruise of Lake Ashi. Created during an eruption of the volcano over 3,000 years ago, this lake rests calmly in the shadow of the great mountain.

Be swept off your feet by the Mount Komagatake Aerial Cableway and the unparalleled views it affords. You won’t soon forget the beauty of Hakone National Park from high in the air, where Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi, and the surrounding mountains spread out before you.*

Board Japan’s bullet train, known as Shinkansen, for a speedy return to Tokyo on the world-renowned train that reaches speeds in excess of 185 miles per hour (300 km/h). Or, you may select to return by motor coach below.

Note:
Children under 5 participate for free, but may not occupy their own seat. *The above itinerary is subject to changes and substitutions due to weather and traffic conditions. The cableway ride will be omitted when traffic conditions prohibit its access. Hotel drop-off service is not offered. Please select below whether you would like to return to Tokyo via motor coach or the Shinkansen speed train. The motorcoach return does not operate on Sat. or Sun. except during the month of October.

2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required Please contact JTB Global Marketing & Travel Inc by no later than 12:00 PM (GMT +9:00) 2 days prior to your tour date to ensure reservation and to arrange hotel pick-up, if available. When calling to confirm booking, inform the call center that you booked via Expedia and provide them with the itinerary number listed on your voucher(s). Please note that only the Japan office listed on your voucher will have access to your reservation. Additionally, the JTB Global Marketing and Travel office will be closed on Sundays and national holidays including: Jan 1-3, Jan 8, Feb 12, Mar 21, Apr 30, May 3-5, Jul 16, Sep 17, Sep 24, Oct 8, Nov 3, Nov 23, Dec 24, Dec 29-31. Upon arrival at the departure point listed on your voucher, please present your voucher(s) in exchange for service.
