Come watch living history at Plimoth Plantation. In the village, where small thatched-roof houses overlook the Atlantic, and on the reproduction of the Mayflower anchored on the waterfront, costumed role players take on colonists’ names, viewpoints, and life histories. Visitors can talk with them about life in England, the ocean crossing, and the early years in New England. At Hobbamock’s Homesite, interpreters dressed in traditional clothing give insight into the history and culture of the Wampanoag, the indigenous peoples. And, a Crafts Center features artisans creating accurate reproductions of the furniture, crafts, and household goods of the time.
