Before boarding theUSS Missouri, meet your tour guide at the Arizona Memorial to view a historical film about the attack on Pearl Harbor. Then, hop onboard a Navy shuttle and sail to theUSS Missouri. Once you're on the ship, your tour guide provides detailed information about the surprise attack of Dec. 7, 1941, and how it led the U.S. into World War II. Traipse through the ship and see the dent caused by a Japanese Kamikaze plane as it nearly destroyed the "Mighty Mo." Discover Battleship Row, the submarineUSS Bowfin, the U.S. Pacific Fleet headquarters, and the "black tears of the Arizona."

Due to its early start time, this activity is not recommended for your first full day on the island.

The U.S. Department of the Interior has a "no bags" policy at the Arizona Memorial and Visitor Center. This includes purses, handbags, backpacks, and diaper bags. A small camera is permitted. Children younger than 2 may participate free of charge with an accompanying adult. Tour guide gratuity is not included and is at your discretion.
