Details

Your tour begins with a journey into the countryside. Stroll through coconut trees and terraced rice fields—cultivated in Balinese style. Listen to the river flow as you wander toward a pavilion to relax and refresh yourself with some Indonesian delights.

Driving through the tropical scenery, your next stop is the royal temple of Mengwi, Pura Taman Ayun. Built in the early 17th century, the “temple of beautiful gardens” is encompassed by a lotus-filled moat and entered via intricately carved wooden gates. Once the seat of a powerful kingdom, the complex is also known for the tall many-tiered roofs on its structures, called meru.

Just outside the bustling capital is the Ubud Monkey Forest. Merely walking through the trails of this nature preserve is spectacular enough, with its shade-giving trees, stone bridges and walkways, and impressive temple. But here, the monkeys will be your guide, as well as your entertainment. Countless macaques roam freely throughout this park, giving you the opportunity to monkey around with these playful creatures as they lounge on temple walls and prance around the statues and trees.

Arrive at your last stop just in time to enjoy its claim to fame amongst visitors—the coastal sunsets. Tanah Lot, the “Sunset Temple,” was built in the 16th century 655 feet (200 m) offshore, atop a large lava rock projecting out of the sea. From this sacred setting, watch the sun as it sets into the sea.

Redemption instructions

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it iscritical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. Contact PT Tour East Asia at least 24 hours before your trip date to ensure your reservation and to arrange pick-up time for tour. Complimentary hotel transfers are not available at all hotels. Please confirm that your hotel is a valid pick-up location, or make other arrangements with PT Tours to meet up with the tour when calling to confirm your reservation. Please arrive at the departure point 15 minutes prior to your departure time. Upon pick-up, present your voucher and photo ID in exchange for service.
