What you can expect

Explore cultural Puebla on this half-day double-decker tour to the city's main landmarks. Visit the Cathedral and Zocalo before discovering the artist neighborhood, the street of candies, and the Amparo Museum.

Begin at the impressive baroque and colonial Cathedral of Puebla. The sheer size of the church reflects its importance to the city and the role that religion played, as construction lasted for centuries. After exploring the imposing structure, continue to the Cathedral Treasures Museum to visit an exhibition dedicated to the worship of the Virgin Mary.

Next, head to Zocalo, Puebla's main square, and the splendid Rosary Chapel decorated with 22-karat gold laminate and stucco. Make your way to the artist neighborhood and the street of candies, famous for its shops selling traditional sweets. At Palafoxiana Library, admire the vast collection—42,500 volumes and 5,345 manuscripts—as well as bookshelves with fine cedar and sunflowers.

The last stop of your tour is the significant Amparo Museum, an old colonial building with a magnificent collection of modern art and ancestral artifacts. Here, see some of most important private collection of pre-Hispanic art in the country as well as ancient pre-Colombian relics.
