Description

Explore the darker side of the nation’s oldest city, St Augustine. Hop on the Trolley of the Doomed to explore landmarks of the supernatural and hear tales of murder, ghostly apparitions, and hauntings. Keep watch as you enter the Old City Gates for ghost-child Elizabeth, a yellow fever victim.

Your first stops are Huguenot Cemetery and Tolomato Cemetery. As you meander through the gravestones, be on the lookout for the spirit of 5-year old James, jumping through the trees, or the lonely Ghost Bride, still waiting for her groom.

Next stop is the St. Augustine Lighthouse, long troubled by paranormal activity, where it is not uncommon to hear unexplained voices or noises. You may even encounter the daughters of the Superintendent of Lighthouse Construction, who drowned in 1870 and are now believed to haunt the grounds.

Finally, stop by the Old St. John’s Jail, built in 1891 and home to prisoners for over 60 years, including several who met their end on a hangman’s noose. Walk quietly through the hallways, listening for voices, cold spots, apparitions, and the prisoner who’s never left, Charlie Powell.
