What you can expect

The “Land of Eternal Spring” awaits in Cuernavaca, Mexico. A beautiful temperate climate and a vibrant atmosphere with mesmerizing spiritual sites make Cuernavaca an inviting destination. Travel a little more to Taxco, a small town rich in history that resides on the slopes of Atache Hill in the Taxco mountains. Unique cobblestone streets, extravagant art, and breathtaking baroque-inspired churches will make a trip to Taxco worthwhile!

A visit to Cuernavaca needs to be scheduled on your planner! The small town is a cultural landmark in Mexico and is full of history, spas, gorgeous landscapes, and true palaces. Cuernavaca is so divine in appeal, that former Aztec ruler Moctezuma II and French Emperor Maximilian built their own villas there. The high society culture of Cuernavaca has the town vibrating with extravagant palaces, dining experiences, and its spiritual heritage.

Pull back the curtain on Mexico's national monument, Taxco, and explore its ancient history! The visit itself from Mexico City to Taxco is one to remember. Along the way, you’ll have a scenic view of the entire city until you reach the “Silver City” itself.

Begin your journey through Taxco in Zocalo Square where several small delightful cafes and coffee shops reside. After your morning coffee, see numerous museums, and historical art, and get up close with The Templo de Santa Prisca. The church of Santa Prisca is the pinnacle of fine Baroque Mexican architecture and represents a period of incredible craftsmanship, ambition, and imagination. This grand rose-colored cathedral towers over the town of Taxco and offers views of unparalleled beauty.

Taxco is an ancient town that was once inhabited by Indian settlements until the Spanish arrived and in cooperation with the Indians, named the town Taxco. This became the first major mining center the Spaniards would operate. Even to this day, silver remains abundant in the local mine and tourists get to travel down through an elevator and see it all for themselves. The silver metals illuminate the entire mine as you go down making it feel like you're in a different world.

Taxco and Cuernavaca are very popular tourist destinations for many reasons. These lovely towns are two of the finest you’ll find in all of Mexico. There is so much to see and explore you’ll love every minute of it!
