In April 2001, Egyptian archaeologists uncovered 22 mummies in Bahariya, some 350 kilometres from Cairo. They date from the 6th century BC and were neatly divided into two tombs. Shortly afterwards, during a journey through the White Desert, I was given the exceptional opportunity to descend with an Egyptian friend in one of the tombs. There I found this untouched sarcophagus of a mother with the mummy of her child on top of her. Staff made this stay very nice and pleasant and enjoyable. Not the best of hotels I’ve stayed in and some lights not working, loose electrical fitting and sockets with missing parts. If I had stayed with family then definitely would have complained but the roof terrance view was amazing.

All good BUT if you book a tour of Cairo in the hotel, be careful if the tour guy is “Abu”. He will look like a nice polite man. Until he will ask you to give him cash for tickets that you can pay by card. He was supposed to take us to a mosque where you pay an entrance fee, but instead he took us to a different, irrelevant one , with no entree fee but claiming the money anyway. And robbed us also during lunch. Just DO NOT GO WITH ABU. It s a shame as he ruins the image of the hotel where the rest of the staff is nice.

Jasmine pyramid Hotel is very clean and tidy, away from busy areas. Hotel has a courtyard with swimming pool. Reception staffs are very welcoming and helpful. Good value for the money. Reception staff helped us to order food. They provide laundary services, taxi services whenever required. But I felt taxi service is slightly expensive when compared to Uber services in Cairo. I booked Luxor tour through hotel, it was expensive compared to the other online attraction package. I recommend to use jasmine pyramid hotel for stay.
