"We had a lovely few days at the Metropol. It was very convenient for the Gare du Nord and the Metro. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean, with towels changed every day. Breakfast was a simple cold buffet but it set us up for day without having to leave the building. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street, so we could watch Parisian life, but double glazing ensured we couldn't hear the traffic (just the odd siren!). The hotel is old, so you won't find sockets by the bed, tea making facilities or sound-proofed rooms, and some of the carpets and furnishings are a bit worn, so if you're after a swish boutique experience, look again. But if you want a clean, friendly, reasonably priced hotel, full of character with easy access to central Paris, we would certainly recommend this one. "

"The staff was friendly and very nice. The hotel was across the street from the l’est train station. 10 minute walk to the quay were they had lots of options to eat and drink. 20 minute to the Notre Dame area. It was a great stay, "

"A comfortable stay. Room was always very clean when we’d come back from a day out. Hotel is in a great location for shopping and food options. They also have a restaurant in the hotel which is very tasty! A convenient free water bottle refill station!"

"The AC is not turn on until the weather is considered to be hot. Although the temperature was 26C and the sun was hitting the room head on, it was very very warm. Rooms do not have small refrigerators.However and overall it is a ver comfortable place to stay and close to all public transportation including long distance trains. Plenty of places to eat in the area."

"Super little place to stay. Perfect location - 15 mins walk from Gare du Nord and 15 mins walk to Les Halles. Aurelie was so warm and welcoming and very helpful with advice for local restaurants. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and dark - no sunlight waking us at sunrise. Local area has lots of restaurants and shops and we felt very safe and so close to the metro. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much- you made our stay wonderful!"

"Really nice receptionists and cleaner made up the room every day. Came back every night to a clean room. Please tip the cleaner when you visit as they made an effort. Small details made it so lovely. If you are a light sleeper bring earplug. I read some review so I came prepared:) "
