This is a very new hotel, situated around a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The concept is interesting, all inclusive is what is suggested in the blurb. This translates as a good quality buffet breakfast, free and unlimited beverages and snacks in the top floor club area, and a daily wine and local specialities buffet feature in the evening. The latter is generous and tasty, serving as a decent evening supper alternative if you can't face the walk back into town.
The beds were very comfy and the room very clean. There is a good choice of free video films and a facility to play your iPod music through the phone speaker. The staff is absolutely lovely. Everyone was helpful and kind to a fault, spoke good English when our French failed us and sorted out all of our needs right away.

The hotel is very close to the Bayonne train station. The building doesn't look like much from outside, the reception is small and narrow, and the elevator cramped (very glad that it had an elevator though), but the rooms are really nice. We only needed a room for one night and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room and the en-suite. A breakfast was included and it turned out to be a really good buffet. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well and could speak English.

Its a little bit hard to find but it is a nice old house that has been converted to a small hotel. Our room was spacious which is unusual in France. For two people we usually found our rooms had two beds crammed so close together it may as well have been a single bed. So we two old guys were always rearranging furniture to move the beds apart. here we didn't have to. The facilities were clean and efficient. Of course there are no wash cloths. What Europe has against wash cloths..... The thing that was special was having breakfast on their veranda. Great start to a day. The only thing that put me off was when I first got into the room and sat on my bed a bug, which I believe was a flea jumped on my arm. I squished it and told the owner and she changed the linen and I wasn't bothered again. they do allow pets in the hotel

Driving to Spain, hotel situated close to motorway and easy to find. Thought it might be noisy but not so. Standard Campanile layout. Staff helpful, they changed our room to ground floor without any problems.

We could walk from the hotel to everything in old Bayonne. Restaurants, shops, and sightseeing were all right outside the door. The hotel could use some updates but it was quiet and clean. The wifi worked well.

The town of Bayonne is six kilometres from the Atlantic coast, at the confluence of the Nive and Adour rivers. The Nive divides Bayonne into two quarters spanned by five bridges. Grand Bayonne has narrow pedestrian streets lined with shops, towered over by the Gothic spires of the Cathedrale Sainte-Marie. Petit Bayonne is home to lively Basque bars, museums, and picturesque 16th-century houses.
