Stayed for work travel - charming, comfortable hotel. I appreciated the quiet fellow guests and fantastic location close to downtown and harbourfront (not to mention a Starbucks!). Room was spacious and nice seized closet

I booked this hotel because of the location and free parking. The building has an old character charm which I liked a lot, and the interior was clean and very comfortable, with a good sized fridge, which is always nice especially when travelling on road. It lacked a microwave in the room but the staff were very kind to let us use theirs. The morning coffee in the lobby was very good. All in all, it was great. I would definitely return.

From the time we were greeted at the door we had a wonderful experience. Gosia did a terrific job of answering all our questions, and really seemed to enjoy her job. Kate, in the restaurant, gave excellent service, and was very knowledgeable about food allergies. She took the time to offer alternatives, and was so kind that I didn't feel like it was an imposition. We definitely will stay there again. Soon I hope!

Loved the location and pool! Room as attendants didn't replace towels placed in tub or put out clean glasses.
Had breakfast at BlueCrab and was given cream and sugar with someone's used spoon and cream was only half full and curdled in coffee.

Better than I expected. I booked a room with a harbour view but for some reason I ended up in a room with a residential view. But Mike (front desk) was very helpful and quick to solved the booking mess and I was being upgraded to a better room with a harbour view! Room is clean! My family love the location...no need for a car to go to most of the major attractions in downtown Victoria!

James Bay is the oldest neighborhood in Victoria and is full of colonial charm, sprinkled with grand Victorian houses and perfectly manicured private gardens. It is located close to downtown on the south side of the harbor and offers gems such as Fisherman's Wharf marina, Beacon Hill Park, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The Royal British Columbia Museum is a must-see for history buffs.
