Lovely 4 night stay, great location and views of beach. Ideal for surfing. Eating options slightly limited particularly for vegetarians. You need to book during the day or cannot get into terrace bar. There is nowhere to eat nearby, you need to drive if not eating in the hotel.

"Perfect location, beautiful home & exemplary host"
An absolute pleasure to stay at the Homsleigh B&B. The check-in was smooth, the room was spotless & stocked to perfection. The bed made me want to stay in it longer!! The host was absolutely fantastic and went out of her way to make our stay seamless. Recommended to all and will definitely stay here again when in the area. A big thanks, well appreciated.

This was a very good hotel near the river. There is parking on the road opposite plus an overflow around the corner.
The hotel entrance/reception is well decorated to reflect the style of the building and check in was efficient. There is a lift to get to your room, if needed.
We had a standard room which was a little small, but the bathroom was quite large. I've deducted one star because the bathroom was a little dated, but both were very clean. The bed and pillows were comfy.
The food was excellent , both evening meal and breakfast, and the staff were very friendly, obliging and efficient. Can not fault.
The only downside to staying at this hotel is the road noise in the bedrooms. The windows are very large sash type and have not been double glazed. A quieter room was offered, but as we were there for just one night we decided to stay put.
I would stay at this hotel again, but would request a room at the back.

This hotel is about the only place open in January in Woolacombe. The location just 200m up the hill from the town. The staff are excellent and very attentive and helpful. The room and hotel are very clean. However it is so badly run down. It's not even had a lick of paint for 20 years and the carpet and decor is from the late 70's. It was 3degrees outside and about 4 degrees in the room. The wind blows straight through the paper thin walls. The internal wall are no better. With only about 4 rooms occupied in the hotel, we had to have a room next to a couple of brummies who chatted all night.

A well located hotel for Bude, Hartland, Westward Ho and Bideford. Rooms are in character with the old world style of the Inn and are very comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space at the Inn to relax both inside and out, and a friendly and cosy bar for an evening drink.

The east of this varied coastline features the deep 'combes' (wooded valleys) of Exmoor, which plunge down to the sea, most dramatically at Lynton and Lynmouth. Westward are traditional English seaside towns with long sandy beaches (Ilfracombe, Woolacombe). Beyond the characterful towns of Barnstaple and Bideford, Clovelly is a picture-book, whitewashed fishing village, while Hartland Point is known for its dramatic, storm-battered cliffs.
