The beds were fantastic. it has been a long time since I slept on beds in a hotel that were so comfortable. The front desk staff were super friendly. We really only were in the hotel to sleep so didn't get to enjoy the hot tub or pool - but from our courtyard window we could see a few kids enjoying the pool. they looked like they were having fun. Would recommend this hotel for families.

I want to start off right away with saying that if I go to another concert in Penticton I will be PROBABLY staying there again because It is that close to the arena...takes 5 minutes to walk there. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly. The hotel is an older looking one, you can definitely tell!!
There is a garage station right across the street for snacks :) The bathroom is large with a shower in the tub, two nice queen beds and a screen tv.
Now, the only thing that bothered me were the thin walls. I could hear everything going on around me. The people talking loudly for quite a while after midnight and the traffic. I would fall asleep and wake up and fall back asleep. But...

Great location for me for the weekend, and it served the purpose I needed, a place to sleep. Was greeted by a young boy who actually handled himself pretty professionally. Check in was fairly smooth, but be sure to know what kind of booking you have. Mine was prepaid and they started to tell me I needed to pay again, but the matter was quickly resolved. The place was pretty quiet, comfortable enough, biggest complaint is spotty wifi, but for the price I paid, it was a minor issue.

The place is not fancy, but you get a clean room, near the lake and the highway, at a good price. That's all I ask from a motel where I'm staying for a night or two, and Valley Star delivered. As a bonus, the manager at the checkin desk was very friendly, registration fast, and the checkout consisted of me leaving the key in the room and walking out in the morning.

I have stayed in this motel several times over the years with usually no issues. This time I booked it in Nov, 2016 for a competition Jan 28th and 29th, 2017. I arrived at the hotel on Jan 27th at 5:15pm for check-in, there was a note on the office door that stated the office was closed until 10am the next morning. I tried to call the number left on the sign several times with no response. I went for dinner and came back around 7pm and was still not able to get in touch with anyone. I ended up having to book a room that night at the Sandman...thankful there was a room for me. After 8pm I finally received a call back from the Crown Resort Motel stating they did not have information on my booking. I booked this through Expedia as I have done in the past, I was provided an itenerary for the dates I had booked 1room Jan 27th and Jan 28th and another room for Jan 28th. Despite this terrible experience I still gave this Motel my business for the 2 rooms I had previously booked for Jan28th. The only complaint I have about the rooms are that they were freezing cold initially and took several hours to warm up.
The owner did try to rectify the situation in the morning of the 29th but I don't believe I will be choosing this motel in the future.
