Small extremely clean renovated hotel in center of Schenectady close to Union College. They go to the trouble of providing 3 large fluffy bath towels (in a one bed room) and huge shower for very reasonable price -- need I say more!?

"This hotel is very conveniently located in town. "
There are a couple of other hotels nearby, but since we are only there to sleep, no sense in paying twice to three times as much for a place to sleep. The rooms are clean, free wi-fi, parking lot is well lit, nice people at front desk. Breakfast is mainly cereal, oatmeal, toast or yogurt, but we always plan on going out for breakfast anyway. We come to Schenectady twice a year.

The official headquarters of General Electric, Schenectady is home to the Stockade Historic District featuring dozens of Dutch and English Colonial houses from the 18th and 19th centuries; the GE Realty Plot with 18th- and 19th-century homes originally built for company executives; and Proctor’s Theatre, a former vaudeville/movie theater which is now an arts center.
